10/23/2009 Aquent awarded "Outstanding Achievement in Web Development” in the employment category

Global marketing, design and digital recruitment agency, Aquent, was recently awarded the 2009 WebAward for Outstanding Website in the Employment Category by the Web Marketing Association. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for website development. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries. The WebAward Competition is the premier award recognition program for Web developers and marketers worldwide.

Aquent’s website, designed in 2008, was developed by an internal team led by Jeremie Audran, Web Strategy Director. Aquent’s score was 28% above the industry average for similar sites, based on several categories including design, innovation and ease of use. Aquent’s new site is revolutionary for a recruitment agency, because it highlights the company’s agents, including their experience and specialty, not just available talent and open jobs.

“Our design goal was to create a high-impact website with a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to use but also interesting to interact with,” said Jeremie Audran. “We used photographs of our own agents to personalise the site and show the world who Aquent is and to show that Aquent is its people.”
